When God Gives A Vision......OBEY!!!!!

Acts 16:9-10....9 That night Paul had a vision. He saw a man from Macedonia in northern Greece pleading with him, "Come over here and help us". 10 So we decided to leave for Macedonia at once, for we could only conclude that God was calling us to the Good News there.

When God gives a vision that compels you to do something its a really great time to be obedient . Gods plans may not be your plans but your plans should become God's plan. In Proverbs 16: 9 it says....... We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. So letting God determine our steps will always lead in the right direction.

Sometimes we want to do a particular thing.....example go to a birthday party for an unsaved friend or an event that isn't for God's glorification. However difficult it is to say no... its imperative that the saved children of God must obey God if the Holy Spirit leads them to do so. I wanted to participate in something that was not for God's Glorification. It was like someone had died I wanted to go so bad. I was at war with myself, then I realized . I did. I died and was born again. Now my life is for God and not to please my worldly desires. It was so hard but obedience to God has its rewards. In Isaiah 1: 18-20 it reads.......18" Come now, let us argue this out,"says the Lord. " No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you as white as wool. 19 If you will only obey me and let me help you, then you will have plenty to eat. 20 But if you keep turning away and refusing to listen, you will be destroyed by your enemies. I, the Lord, have spoken!"

The reason to obey the Holy Spirit is not just for reward, there are people in our lives that may be affected by your obedience. You deny God and other brothers and sisters their blessings.....Lets be a blessing to others through our obedience to the what God is saying to us! To God be the Glory!

  1. Obeying GOD will not only give us rewards from our Heavenly Father but it's what what commanded of us as children if we want to please our father.

  2. So true, the more we learn about our heavenly father the more we understand what is commanded of us. Obedience, love, compassion, understanding, faithfulness and I could go on because he commands so much. We have to study the word to get the whole idea of what is required of us by God. To God be the Glory!
